Cyberjamz DJs have been raving about the reopening. It was a sad day when the newly built club Now & Then NYC had to close its doors because of NY state COVID regulations. The venue held its inaugural dance music night on March 14th with Tyrone Francis hosting the legendary blak-n-yello party. During closure, the venue launched Now & Then NYC Virtuality, a pay-per-view platform that is BMI, ASCAP and SESAC licensed separately from their brick and mortar location. Using the platform, Virtuality, they can stream arts, education and entertainment across the globe, allowing quarantined artists the option to continue working.
Since reopening for outdoor dining, Now & Then NYC has quickly grown in popularity for their 2000 square foot backyard and delicious menu items. The calendar is packed with events ranging from paint & sip to comedy to drag wars to trivia. Now & Then NYC is particularly loved for their all-day brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Recently, Cyberjamz DJ Algebra was selected as a resident for Sundays. C Boogie serves as the resident on Saturdays. Both DJs and their guests bring a soothing, eclectic vibe to the graffiti-covered backyard of 290 Meserole Street. When the venue fully reopens their 3500 square foot indoor space, they boast one of the hottest sound systems in NYC. In addition to being the new home for the Shelter, Now & Then NYC is a choice for dance music veterans like Danny Krivit and Jellybean Benitez. Cyberjamz will be at the venue soon… so keep an eye out for more details. Contact Denise Temple via facebook messenger if you’re interested in hosting an event at Now & Then NYC.
